Day 14 of love

Like I said, there’s more from The Little Paris Bookshop, so here’s a quote that testifies to one of the wonderful qualities of love which is selflessness.

Day 13 of love

No commentaries. Just this beautiful passage to behold.

Day 12 of love

Jane Eyre was one of the first classics that I ever seriously read. For my young mind, I found the language a little hard to follow. Years later, when I came across another Brontë novel, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, I assumed the language was similar, naïvely unaware that years of reading classics can make you accustomed to its seemingly mind-boggling prose.

The Tenant of Wildfell Hall turned out to be quite readable and that was not only because I already got the hang of classics at the time of reading. Surprisingly modern, I loved how the heroine rose above her ordeals and became her own person. It was a good read truly.

Day 11 of love

I used to believe that only once in a person’s life can he experience the sensation described above. But now, I’m not so sure anymore. Anybody here ever met someone who made you feel this way? I would love to hear your story!

Day 10 of love

Growing up, I was never really fond of poetry. I have always believed that appreciating poetry takes a different level of understanding. Although I once read some of Rilke’s poems, I found that I still couldn’t muster enough patience to dig deep. So I resorted to his Letters to a Young Poet instead and found that his narratives are just as insightful as his poems.
